EDMOND, Okla. (June6, 2011) – Armstrong Auditorium will kick-off a second season of world-class performances with two-time GRAMMY-winning fiddler Mark O’Connor’s American String Celebration. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. on July 3, inside the Armstrong Auditorium.

House Manager Shane Granger details the listening experience found inside Edmond’s new $20 million performance hall.

“The auditorium is performing beautifully. We consistently hear from our patrons that the acoustics and sight lines are fabulous,” said Granger. “With an intimate space of 823 seats, everyone—from the orchestra seating to the rear balcony—feels a part of the show.”

O’Connor’s American String Celebration includes some of the country’s most talented young fiddlers. Their celebration of classical, jazz, mountain, Celtic, old-time and Texas-style fiddling is the perfect fit to the Independence Day weekend.

Tickets for the July 3 season opener are available for as low as $20 for seating in the balcony while upfront orchestra seating can be found for as low as $45.
