EDMOND—The Oklahoma Department of Tourism filmed an episode of its popular Discover Oklahoma travel show at Armstrong Auditorium January 14 and 18. The television show, billed as Oklahoma's favorite weekly travel program, highlights destinations throughout the state to promote tourism.

On January 18, hosts Jennifer Reynolds and Ron Stahl taped their upcoming "Discover the Unexpected" episode from the Grand Lobby of Armstrong Auditorium. The two veteran TV personalities enjoyed a brief tour of the new $20 million performing arts center before taping. Both commented on the beauty and quality of the auditorium and shared their enthusiasm with the audience during the piece.

A few days prior, Discover Oklahoma producer Dino Lalli and executive producer Shel Waggoner interviewed Armstrong's executive staff for one of the segments of the "unexpected" episode that will feature the auditorium.

The episode featuring Armstrong Auditorium is scheduled to air Saturday, January 29, at 6:30 p.m. on CBS affiliates KOTV-6 in Tulsa, KWTV-9 in Oklahoma City, and KSWO-7 in Lawton. A web version will be available for on-demand viewing at Discover Oklahoma's web site: www.discoveroklahomatv.com.
