G.F. Handel's Israel in Egypt

Though most famous for his oratorio Messiah, G.F. Handel’s Israel in Egypt is the composer’s most imaginative work. The tonal depiction of the events surrounding Israel’s exodus from Egyptian slavery ignites the listener’s imagination in its use of double choir, soloists and full orchestra. The 33-member Armstrong Chamber Choir (Armstrong’s choral ensemble in residence) teams up with a specially hand-picked 23-piece orchestra of expert musicians to offer Handel’s treasured masterpiece.
