The Herbert W. Armstrong College music program is thrilled to present its end of semester Honors Recital, Saturday evening, December 13, at 7 p.m.
In addition to select student and faculty soloists — including a sneak peek of a movement from Lamentations of Jeremiah (premiering in April) — the campus orchestra will present a movement from Haydn’s famous “Surprise” symphony and excerpts from Prince Igor, by Alexander Borodin. The Imperial Choraliers (elementary-aged chorus) will present two beloved show tunes. And the Armstrong Youth Chorus will sing a gamut of styles from a Renaissance madrigal, a Handel chorus, a Queen’s Six arrangement of “Stand By Me,” and the premiere of Mark Jenkins’ brand new arrangement of the classic hit, “What a Wonderful World.”
Admission is free and no reservations are required.
